One thing every college student needs during stressful days is a good place to relax between classes. At NIAT, even though students are usually busy with assignments, presentations, projects, and deadlines, there are still a few places around campus where students can take a break and enjoy some peaceful time with friends.
For me, the best relaxing spot inside the campus is definitely the benches under the trees. After long classes and continuous discussions, sitting there feels calm and refreshing. Most students gather there while waiting for buses or during free time between classes.
That place honestly became more than just a sitting area for our batch. It slowly turned into one of the main student hangout spots where conversations never really end. Sometimes we discuss projects, future plans, and technology. Other times we simply joke around and laugh about random classroom moments.
My friends — Surya, Azam, Sawith Varma, Monica, and Vishali — and I spent many evenings there together. Even stressful situations somehow feel lighter while sitting there with friends and talking freely.
Another place students often relax in is the waiting room near the washrooms. Even though it sounds like an ordinary place, it somehow became another unofficial student corner during breaks. People sit there casually discussing assignments, presentations, faculty, and everyday college life.
The cafeteria is another important relaxing spot inside campus. No matter how stressful the day becomes, food breaks somehow improve everyone’s mood. Some students go there mainly for snacks, while others go just to escape classroom stress for a while.
One thing I noticed at NIAT is that students rarely sit quietly during breaks. Since most people are extroverted, active, and funny, even small free periods quickly become full conversations and laughter.
The funniest moments usually happen during stress discussions. Students begin by seriously talking about deadlines and workload, but within minutes somebody makes a random joke and suddenly the entire group starts laughing instead of stressing.
One memorable moment happened when we were sitting near the tree benches discussing how stressful college life was becoming. Unexpectedly, one of our faculty members joined the conversation with us. At first everyone became silent and awkward, but later the conversation became surprisingly comfortable and funny.
That moment honestly made the campus environment feel more natural and friendly.
Looking back now, I feel relaxing spots inside a campus are important not because of the place itself, but because of the people and memories connected to them. Sometimes the best part of college life is not the classroom or events — it is those small moments spent with friends between stressful classes.
And honestly, those small breaks are what make busy college life feel enjoyable and memorable.
