Honestly, this art swap event at SGU Kolhapur felt really different in the best way. At first, it sounded simple — draw something, swap it, and complete it.
At first, it sounded simple — draw something, swap it, and complete it.
But once it actually started, it became way more interesting than expected.
You begin with your own idea, your own style. Everything feels under your control.
And then suddenly… you hand it over to someone else.
That moment is what changes everything.
Now you’re not just drawing — you’re trying to understand what the other person was thinking. Sometimes you continue their idea, sometimes you completely twist it into something new. And that’s where things got really fun.
The best part was seeing how every artwork turned out.
No two pieces were the same. Each one had a mix of two different minds, and that made them feel more creative and unpredictable.
The environment was also really nice — relaxed, interactive, and full of energy. People were talking, laughing, helping each other, and just enjoying the process without overthinking it.
With 47 registrations and 24 final artworks, it clearly showed that people were genuinely interested and involved.
Also, the way the event was managed — from explaining the concept to smoothly handling the swap and completion — made everything flow naturally.
But what I really liked about this event is that it wasn’t just about art.
It was about:
- Letting go of control
- Trusting someone else with your idea
- And building something together
And that’s something we don’t usually experience.
In the end, it didn’t feel like just an event…
it felt like a shared creative moment.
And honestly, that’s what made it memorable.
