Introduction
Yes — NIAT Jaipur students can join both NCC and NSS through Vivekananda Global University.
Both programmes sit outside academics and both build leadership while doing something useful. They suit quite different people, though, so here is what each one actually involves and how you get in.
NCC: The National Cadet Corps
The NCC suits students who want to build discipline, confidence, leadership and a strong sense of patriotism.
Cadets take part in:
- drills
- camps
- adventure activities
- social service programmes
It is also genuinely useful if you are considering a career in the armed forces, the police or government service, where NCC experience carries real weight.
NSS: The National Service Scheme
The NSS is built around community service and social responsibility.
Volunteers work on:
- cleanliness drives
- blood donation camps
- environmental awareness programmes
- rural development initiatives
It is a direct way to contribute something while building teamwork and communication skills along the way.
